Welcome back to OBX SEASON 3---Shooting MONDAY, JULY 11TH! If you are new with OBX, this blog is where you will find out important information on what kind of costumes you should bring as a Background Actor on the show.
Just a couple of housekeeping items to begin with......
-Please, be on time. You will be checked in by the AD Department and fill out paperwork before we can look at you. If you are late then the Costume Department does not get as much time to make sure you look great.
-Always come dressed in your first, best choice of the descriptions for your character. After reading the character descriptions that you will find here, make your best pick and wear it in. However, you will ALWAYS be expected to bring multiple options with you so that we can make the final choices. The final choices will be made by the Costume Dept. Please respect that we have the overview of the day and the show, and do not complain about what we ask you to wear. Solid colors, wide stripes, plaids, and large scale prints are great! Some color is good, as long as it isn't neon. Please do not include items with narrow stripes, neons, glitter, sequins, uncomfortable shoes, and clothing with large logos & graphics/ trademarked characters (giant nike symbols, star wars tees, etc). On this particular show, simple logos are okay as long as it is mainly wording/ lettering/ phrases (not large pieces of artwork).
- It is MANDATORY that you read this blog before coming to work EVERY TIME YOU WORK.

WALKERS/JOGGERS/BIKER:
Please bring shorts, tanks, t-shirts, yoga pants, sweatpants, sneakers...workout attire. Logos are fine if they are small. Colors are welcome... just stay away from black, solid white and neon.
NEIGHBORS:
Men- please bring polos, button down shirts, khaki and bright colored shorts, casual pants, flip-flops, loafers and boat shoes.
Women- please bring casual day dresses with practical wedges, flats or sandals, polos and blouses with casual skirts or nice shorts, sundresses, rompers, sandals, boat shoes, casual purses.
CONSTRUCTION WORKERS:
Typical outdoor workwear. Heavily worn t-shirts, button down work shirts, long jeans or dickies style work pants, work boots if you have them and dirty old sneakers if you do not. Old, stained clothing is preferred!
