7/14/2022--- EXT. TRES ROCAS AIRPORT

     Welcome back to OBX SEASON 3---Shooting THURSDAY,  JULY 14TH!!  If you are new with OBX, this blog is where you will find out important information on what kind of costumes you should bring as a Background Actor on the show. 

Just a couple of housekeeping items to begin with......

-Please, be on time.  You will be checked in by the AD Department and fill out paperwork before we can look at you.  If you are late then the Costume Department does not get as much time to make sure you look great.  

-Always come dressed in your first, best choice of the descriptions for your character.   After reading the character descriptions that you will find here, make your best pick and wear it in.  However, you will ALWAYS be expected to bring multiple options with you so that we can make the final choices.  The final choices will be made by the Costume Dept.  Please respect that we have the overview of the day and the show, and do not complain about what we ask you to wear. Solid colors, wide stripes, plaids, and large scale prints are great! Some color is good, as long as it isn't neon. Please do not include items with narrow stripes, neons, glitter, sequins, uncomfortable shoes, and clothing with large logos & graphics/ trademarked characters (giant nike symbols, star wars tees, etc). On this particular show, simple logos are okay as long as it is mainly wording/ lettering/ phrases (not large pieces of artwork).

- It is MANDATORY that you read this blog before coming to work EVERY TIME YOU WORK.


Please read below for more information on what you should bring based on your character:

SOUTH AMERICAN TRAVELERS:

Please bring lightweight, comfortable, casual clothes that are ideal for travel. You are traveling from a small local airport in South America during the summer. Bring different options of T-shirts, short-sleeved shirts, shorts, jeans, capri or lightweight pants, lightweight hoodies or sweaters that can be carried or wrapped around your waist, sneakers or casual sandals. Please avoid bringing only one color option, a mix of colors would be great!

SOUTH AMERICAN SOLDIERS:

We will provide costumes for you in the sizes you gave to casting. Please bring tall, lace-up tactical boots if you have them. 

AIRPORT BAGGAGE HANDLERS:

Please bring plain, dark colored polos or short-sleeved shirts, No t-shirts. Jeans, dark colored work pants or chinos. Plain caps with faded or no logos. Bring black, dark brown work boots. If you do not have work boots please bring black sneakers. 

PILOT:

We will provide costumes for you in the sizes you gave to casting. Please bring black dress shoes. 

FLIGHT ATTENDANT:

We will provide costumes for you in the sizes you gave to casting. Please bring closed-toe, low heels in black or navy.
