Welcome back to OBX SEASON 4---Shooting MONDAY, JUNE 12TH! If you are new with OBX, this blog is where you will find out important information on what kind of costumes you should bring as a Background Actor on the show.
-Please, be on time. You will be checked in by the AD Department and fill out paperwork before we can look at you. If you are late then the Costume Department does not get as much time to make sure you look great.
-Always come dressed in your first, best choice of the descriptions for your character. After reading the character descriptions that you will find here, make your best pick and wear it in. However, you will ALWAYS be expected to bring multiple options with you so that we can make the final choices. The final choices will be made by the Costume Dept. Please respect that we have the overview of the day and the show, and do not complain about what we ask you to wear. Solid colors, wide stripes, plaids, and large scale prints are great! Some color is good, as long as it isn't neon. Please do not include items with narrow stripes, neons, glitter, sequins, uncomfortable shoes, and clothing with large logos & graphics/ trademarked characters (giant nike symbols, star wars tees, etc). On this particular show, simple logos are okay as long as it is mainly wording/ lettering/ phrases (not large pieces of artwork).
- It is MANDATORY that you read this blog before coming to work EVERY TIME YOU WORK.

CONVENIENCE STORE EMPLOYEES:
Please bring casual well-worn shorts, jeans or boardshorts and lived-in sneakers or flip flops. A shirt and/or apron will be provided for you.
CONVENIENCE STORE CUSTOMERS:
These are people who spend a lot of time on or near the water. Keep it casual with well-worn t-shirts and tanks, bathing suits, shorts and jean shorts (any color of denim is fine), sneakers and flip flops. Feel free to bring accessories with some personality, like hats, bandanas, sunglasses and croquis.

ROCKFISH CUSTOMERS:
These are people who were born and raised by the ocean, and people who live and work in the Outer Banks. Blue collar types. Keep it casual - think super worn in clothes that you have been fishing in for years. Dirt and stains are great! These people aren't thinking about fashion.
Men/Women--Please bring your most worn-in t-shirts and tanks, worn in button down shirts, dirty old jeans, shorts, fishing pants, boardshorts. Work boots, old sneakers, or beat up flip flops. Old fishing hats and baseball hats, bandanas, neck gaiters, sunglasses and croquis. Please reference images below for inspiration!
ROCK FISH STAFF:
Please bring well-worn shorts, jean shorts (any colors of denim are welcome), jeans, sneakers and sandals/flip flops. A shirt will be provided for you.
