Welcome back to OBX SEASON 4---Shooting THURSDAY, JANUARY 11th!! If you are new with OBX, this blog is where you will find out important information on what kind of costumes you should bring as a Background Actor on the show.
-Please, be on time. You will be checked in by the AD Department and fill out paperwork before we can look at you. If you are late then the Costume Department does not get as much time to make sure you look great.
-Always come dressed in your first, best choice of the descriptions for your character. After reading the character descriptions that you will find here, make your best pick and wear it in. However, you will ALWAYS be expected to bring multiple options with you so that we can make the final choices. The final choices will be made by the Costume Dept. Please respect that we have the overview of the day and the show, and do not complain about what we ask you to wear. Solid colors, wide stripes, plaids, and large scale prints are great! Some color is good, as long as it isn't neon. Please do not include items with narrow stripes, neons, glitter, sequins, uncomfortable shoes, and clothing with large logos & graphics/ trademarked characters (giant nike symbols, star wars tees, etc). On this particular show, simple logos are okay as long as it is mainly wording/ lettering/ phrases (not large pieces of artwork).
- It is MANDATORY that you read this blog before coming to work EVERY TIME YOU WORK.

Please bring a white crewneck S/S t-shirt, crew socks and black tactical boots if you have them. The rest of your uniform will be provided for you.

Please bring a white crewneck S/S t-shirt, crew socks and black dress shoes and tactical boots if you have them. The rest of your uniform will be provided for you.
POGUE COUNCIL MEMBERS
Please bring business-like options, including suits and dress shirts, sport coats, trousers, dresses, skirts, blouses, pant suit sets, loafers, heels and dress shoes. Please also bring accessories to complete a look, like ties, belts, watches and jewelry. Avoid bringing solid white options or bright neon colors. Take a look at the pictures below for inspiration and keep in mind it is still supposed to be summer!
KOOK COUNCIL MEMBER
Please bring business-like options, including suits and dress shirts, sport coats, trousers, dresses, skirts, blouses, pant suit sets, loafers, heels and dress shoes. Please also bring accessories to complete a look, like ties, belts, watches and jewelry. Avoid bringing solid white options, instead please bring preppy color options like pastels. Kooks are the richer folks in town, so please bring bright, preppy options that reflect this. Take a look at the pictures below for inspiration and please remember it is still supposed to be summer!
KOOK TOWNSPEOPLE
Please bring casual, colorful summer outfit options, including shorts, skirts, pants, jeans, dresses, blouses/shirts of any sleeve length and lightweight sweaters/jackets. Kooks are the rich, preppy folks in town, so please bring clothing that reflects this. Avoid bringing solid white items. Please bring shoe options like sandals, loafers or dressy sneakers. Also, bring accessories to complete a look, like jewelry, watches, belts and purses. Take a look at the pictures below for inspiration!
POGUE TOWNSPEOPLE
Please bring casual summer outfit options, including shorts, pants, skirts, dresses, jeans, blouses/shirts of any sleeve length and lightweight sweaters/jackets. Please bring options that may look more dated, aged and well-worn, since this reflects the Pogue style. Avoid bringing solid white items. Please bring shoe options like sandals and sneakers. Also, bring accessories to complete a look, like jewelry, belts and purses/bags. Take a look at the pictures below for inspiration and keep in mind it is summer wear!

Please bring summer swimsuit options, as well as flip flops, slides, shorts, t-shirts, tanks and sweatshirts. Please also bring accessories like bags/purses and hats. Avoid bringing solid white options. Take a look at the pictures below for inspiration!
