Welcome back to OBX SEASON 4---Shooting FRIDAY, JANUARY 12th!! If you are new with OBX, this blog is where you will find out important information on what kind of costumes you should bring as a Background Actor on the show.
-Please, be on time. You will be checked in by the AD Department and fill out paperwork before we can look at you. If you are late then the Costume Department does not get as much time to make sure you look great.
-Always come dressed in your first, best choice of the descriptions for your character. After reading the character descriptions that you will find here, make your best pick and wear it in. However, you will ALWAYS be expected to bring multiple options with you so that we can make the final choices. The final choices will be made by the Costume Dept. Please respect that we have the overview of the day and the show, and do not complain about what we ask you to wear. Solid colors, wide stripes, plaids, and large scale prints are great! Some color is good, as long as it isn't neon. Please do not include items with narrow stripes, neons, glitter, sequins, uncomfortable shoes, and clothing with large logos & graphics/ trademarked characters (giant nike symbols, star wars tees, etc). On this particular show, simple logos are okay as long as it is mainly wording/ lettering/ phrases (not large pieces of artwork).
- It is MANDATORY that you read this blog before coming to work EVERY TIME YOU WORK.

DISPATCHER
Please bring a white crewneck short sleeve t-shirt, black crew socks and black dress shoes and tactical boots if you have them. The rest of your uniform will be provided for you.
PLAINCLOTHES DETECTIVES
Please bring casual clothing options, like khakis and jeans and neutral-colored pants, button-up shirts of any sleeve length, polos, lightweight outer layers and shoes such as dressy sneakers or slip-ons. Avoid bringing solid white items or items with bright neon colors. Please also bring accessories that can complete a look, like belts, watches, ties, bags and jewelry.
CIVILIAN
Please bring casual summer outfit options, like shorts, pants, jeans, tanks, t-shirts and lightweight outer layers. Avoid solid white items and anything with bright neon colors. For shoes, please bring options like sneakers or sandals and also bring accessories that can complete a look, like jewelry, purses/bags, belts and watches.
YACHT CLUB PATRONS
Please bring preppy, colorful summer outfit options, including dresses, skirts, blouses, dressy shorts, trousers, button downs, lightweight sweaters, sandals, heels, loafers and dressier sneakers. Avoid bringing solid white items. Please also bring accessories to complete a look, like jewelry, watches, belts, ties and purses. Take a look at the pictures below for inspiration!
YACHT CLUB SERVERS
We will provide a polo for you. Please bring light blue shorts or skirts, khaki shorts or skirts and white sneakers/Keds type shoes.
YACHT CLUB BARTENDERS
We will provide a polo for you. Please bring light blue shorts or skirts, khaki shorts or skirts and white sneakers/Keds type shoes.
YACHT CLUB BARBACK
We will provide a polo for you. Please bring light blue shorts or skirts, khaki shorts or skirts and white sneakers/Keds type shoes.
